Health Checks
Regular veterinary health checks and diagnostic testing aid in the early detection and treatment of health problems, improving your pet’s quality of life. All pets should have an annual health check and twice yearly checks are recommended for senior pets.
Health checks include a thorough physical examination and often diagnostic tests such as complete blood count (CBC), biochemistry, electrolytes and urinalysis. Other tests may be recommended including biopsies or imaging (radiographs, ultrasound).
These tests provide baseline (‘normal’) levels for your pet and a greater ability to detect underlying disease. Early detection of disease can lead to successful treatment, allowing you to look forward to more years with your pet.
